Main Info
Every Saturday and Sunday, Everyday Safaris gives a chance to guests from all over the world to join our Group Kilimanjaro day hike. This is a well-organized day hike and the group is normally divided into 3 main groups;
- The fast hikers – This group is for the fit hikers that want to challenge their bodies and have a good time. They want to conquer the mountain at a high speed and break into a sweat. You will have your own special guide who will ensure you enjoy your challenging hike up to the route of Africa
- The moderate/ Average speed hikers- This group is for those who want to be on an average pace
- Slow hikers – These are those hikers who are about Nature and adventure and taking photos. They will have an easy walk up but they have to make sure it is not too slow as they have to be out of the National Park gate before 5:00 pm or they won’t make it all the way to Mandara hut.
No matter your pace our guides will be there for you to ensure you have the best of your Kilimanjaro experience.
At Everyday Safaris, we provide well-trained guides, lunch boxes as well drinking water for your hike. Please come with refillable bottles and fill them before the hike (Kilimanjaro National Park does not allow the throw-away mineral water bottles)
While Mt. Kilimanjaro remains the iconic landmark of Tanzania, the desire to explore its beauty does not have to take you all the way to Uhuru Peak. The Kilimanjaro day hike will ensure you experience the first few meters above sea level using the famous Marangu route. You will have a chance to be within proximity to the wildlife that includes various species of birds, animals like colobus monkeys, and plants within the rainforest.
What to Pack
Generally, you will need comfortable sturdy shoes, comfortable clothes, a camera and a change of clothes or raincoat. We will provide you with a freshly prepared lunch that is well packed in the box and a bottle of water. Please ensure you have a bottle that is not a throw-away to keep your water as the Kilimanjaro National Park does not allow the mineral water bottle.
