This 4-day Tanzania lodge safari takes you to some of the most stunning wildlife destinations in the country – Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti National Park, and Tarangire. Experience the Great Serengeti Wildebeest Migration and see the big cats and the Big 5. The tour includes a visit to a Maasai village in the Ngorongoro highlands. After breakfast at your hotel/lodge in Arusha, meet our safari coordinator and driver guide for a brief safari briefing. We’ll then depart for Tarangire National Park, making a stop in Arusha town for any last-minute purchases. The drive is along the Masai steppe and takes us through many villages to the Tarangire gate. Tarangire is the fifth largest national park in Tanzania, located in the Great East African Rift Valley. The park is known for its towering baobab trees and acacia woodlands, which provide habitat for a diverse range of wildlife. Overnight at Marera Valley Lodge in Karatu. All meals included.
After breakfast, we depart for Serengeti National Park. The drive takes us through the beautiful high-lying farmland of Karatu to the Ngorongoro gate for check-in. We’ll make a stop at the Crater view point for breathtaking views of the crater floor before continuing on to the Serengeti plains. Overnight at Serengeti Bush Camp or similar in central Serengeti. All meals included.
Today, we start early with a breakfast box and lunch box for a morning game drive in the Serengeti. This is an ideal time to spot cat families and other nocturnal predators returning from their night’s hunt. Overnight at Ngorongoro Coffee Lodge at the Crater rim or similar in Karatu town. All meals included.
Arusha Early morning, we’ll descend 600 meters into the crater floor for an unforgettable game viewing experience. Ngorongoro Crater is referred to as the 8th nature wonder of the world and is home to a large variety of wildlife, including the rare black rhino. In the afternoon, we’ll drive back to Arusha. If you have a flight, we’ll drop you off at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your return journey. If you’re staying in Arusha, accommodation can be arranged upon request (at an extra cost). End of tour.
